Take a short walk to Carnaby Street (Soho) – a street is known for its creativity. Each season the street transforms and you will find lots of shops, small cafes, and quaint bakeries for you to grab some delicious treats or to spoil yourself with some goodies! Stop for a coffee and pastry on Old Compton Street and watch the world go by! Then head to China Town – a buzzing area with Asian cuisine and stores to shop from. Street Art – Shoreditch
Shoreditch is famous for keeping its vintage culture but with a trendier outlook to things. Unlike central London, you will find some impressive murals and changing street art along the streets of Shoreditch. If you are keen to spend a little, Shoreditch is a mine for some quirky independent boutiques and vintage shops you can pop in and find some creative and trendy outfits to keep up with the current style. If you find yourself slightly peckish Shoreditch is famous for their street food. Brick Lane is famous for its Sunday market which runs every Sunday with various cuisines and other outdoor eateries. A 10-minute walk away from our Great St Helen Hotel (London Liverpool Street), Shoreditch is a must-see if you are having a weekend wander and are staying at our Great St Helen Hotel.

Nature Lovers – Kensington Gardens
Hop onto the Tube from Gower Street and you will find yourself by Hyde park in less than 30 minutes – one of the largest of the four Royal Parks. And, being situated next door to Kensington Gardens makes it feels even more spacious. With miles of greenery and nature to walk through, there is also a lake and a pond filled with birds and swans belonging to the Queen and a memorial to the late Princess Diana. The Palace is currently closed to visitors due to Coronavirus but Royalists will love all the memorials that can be found within the park itself.
If the weather holds, enjoy a quiet picnic. If not, head to Bayswater or High Street Kensington to grab a meal before heading back for the night to rest your head. Our friendly staff will ensure that you are well looked after!

Exceptional Views – Primrose Hill
With easy access to the Northern line from Kings Cross St. Pancras or Euston, our Mabledon Court Hotel is just a short journey away from Primrose Hill. With an amazing view of London’s skyline, you’ll be able to see attractions and landmarks such as The London Eye and The Shard. And if you head there as the sun goes down (and assuming its not raining!), you should see some gorgeous sunsets. If you are there earlier in the day and fancy a stroll, head out along the streets of Camden Town (famous for its market and architecture) and then head to the Canals to see London from the waterside.
If you fancy a warmer way of seeing the London skyline, head to the London Eye or the Emirates Cable Car (East Side of the City).
Quick Tip!: To avoid the large crowds, visit Primrose Hill during the weekdays rather than on weekends.
