October Half Term 2020

October Half Term 2020

This year has certainly been a rollercoaster for parents and children! At the time of writing, it looks like London will not be in a full-blown lockdown over half term which means that it’s time to entertain the little ones again. Crown Group of Hotels have put together some fun bits and pieces to do in the city.

Merlin Magical London Pass

The easiest and most convenient way to enjoy several of London’s best attractions without creating a large dent in your wallet is to pick up a Merlin Five-In-One London attraction pass. You will be able to enjoy 5 of your favourite attractions such as the Madame Tussauds where you can meet your favourite icons and snap a quick selfie for the gram, feed some colourful fish at Sea Life whilst trying to spot Nemo and see the London Skyline from the London Eye. This pass is valid for 3 months, so you do not have to do everything in a day!

Indoor Museums

If the weather is wet and cold, head to one of London’s Museums for a fun learning experience. Head to the Natural History Museum for dinosaurs, the British Museum for Mummies, the Science Museum for quirky exhibits or the Royal Museums Greenwich for maritime marvels. If your kids are history buffs, head to the Museum of London, the Cartoon Museum or the London Transport Museum.

Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens have opened their Gruffalo Adventure for young little detectives – find for the Gruffalo hiding amongst the woods whilst they discover the world of plants and animals. Make sure to book your slots in advance! You can also explore the kitchen garden, find yourself some colourful seasonal vegetables and collect some acorns and conkers as you walk off towards the wilderness.

As Kew Gardens is so close to the River, why not combine the day with a boat trip into or out of Central London – if you are staying at one of our Gower Street Hotels this would be a great scenic route.

Westfield

Westfield has got some fun bits and bobs for your little kids. At KidZania you can let your kids loose and have them enjoy over 60 interactive games and activities while you rest your feet. Crazy golf and arcade games await the kids but make sure that they are aware of the social distancing measures before they arrive.
