Looking for our Instagram lights? These are part of the display at London’s Leceister Square.

Although the traditional market is going to remain closed this Christmas, the lights display is up and running and the cinemas will be showing Christmas classics whilst London remains in Tier 2. Favourites include the Home Alone series, Elf, The Grinch, A Muppet’s Christmas Carol and Love Actually.

Covent Garden

2020’s display is as beautiful as ever with mistletoe chandeliers, 115,000 lights within the market itself and a 60 ft tree covered in 30,000 lights. On the other side of the market, Covent Garden’s first Wonder Wood has been set up and each tree has been dressed by British and Global brands including Olivia Burton, Petersham Nurseries, The Royal Opera House and Miller Harris.

Seven Dials

Tucked away behind Covent Garden, Seven Dials is a chic shopping area and its Christmas display has an equally chic vibe. Circular to match the theme of the dial, the lights are set back along each of the connecting streets whilst retaining an (almost!) circular shape around the dial.

Regent’s Street

With 45 large spirits, the Regent Street display is the largest in the country and is aptly titled ‘The Spirit of Christmas’. With over 300,000 lights, the spirits create a protective canopy over shoppers and the street below.

Oxford Street

The Oxford Street lights will be displaying messages of hope and thanks to nominated key workers throughout the festive season this year. If you’d like to nominate a 2020 Hero, please visit their website http://www.oxfordstreet.co.uk/christmaslights2020/
