Christmas Day in London 🎅🏼🎄
After the rush of present shopping and getting ready, the Big Day is here! And you’re wondering what to do between opening all the presents and eating all the turkey!
Well, if you’re in London, I can guarantee that you’ll still find things to do.
If you’re up early (and I mean very early!), Peter Berhoud runs a 5:45 am tour of the West End:
Whilst London won’t be totally empty, it will be the closest thing to it that you’ll see all year.
If you’re looking for a more leisurely stroll, he will also be running 11am and 3pm tours of Soho – not too far from our London Bloomsbury hotels.
If you’d prefer to be shown the city by bus, Golden Tours will be running and afternoon tour and also a Christmas lights open top evening tour
If you’ve got more religious leanings or just fancy a good old sing along, there will be countless carol services all over the city. The most famous are at Westminster Cathedral, St Paul’s Cathedral, Southwark Cathedral and St Martins in the Fields.
If you’re feeling sporty, head to Hyde Park and watch the Peter Pan Cup – qualifying swimmers will take on the Serpentine River at less than 4C to try and win the 150 year old title.
You should also be aware that there won’t be any tube services on Christmas day. However, there will be some taxi and minicab companies still open to take your around. Or, if you want to test out your cycling skills, hire a Santander Cycle – you won’t find a quieter time to test your skills on the road!
