We know that many visitors to the city only have a couple of days to explore and enjoy their time here, so we’re here today to share our top ways to maximise your stay in the city. Book now to avoid disappointment as we expect this summer to be a busy one in London. Our team will be excited to welcome you to the local area and share our top tips for making the most of your time in London.

Stay at Our Hatton Garden Hotel

For a short stay in London, you want to make sure you choose the right location for your trip. The Hatton Garden Hotel in Farringdon has many en-suite bedrooms which have all of the facilities you would need for a stay. It’s very close to the local tube and bus stations, so you’ll have no trouble getting further afield in London or to one of the local airports.

Visit the Jewellery Street

Our Hatton Garden hotel is located in the jewellery quarter. During the day, this area is popular with shoppers, but at night it’s ideal for anyone needing a good night of sleep. We love the small boutiques here, and the store owners are extremely helpful when it comes to picking out a beautiful new piece to add to your collection.

Visit the Local Museums

Two nearby museums we recommend visiting are the Charles Dickens Museum and The Postal Museum. They are located right by each other, so you can combine the two into one morning out. We love The Postal Museum’s train ride on an old postal train, and it’s a great museum for the whole family thanks to its many interactive exhibits. The Charles Dickins Museum is located in the home he wrote Oliver Twist in, and you can enjoy viewing manuscripts and his personal items. It’s located just a short stroll from Hatton Garden, and the museum is housed in his former home.

Smithfield’s Market

This weekday market has been around since the Victorian era. It’s based in a Grade II listed-covered building which was designed by Sir Horace Jones. It stocks a wide range of foods, cheeses and meats, all of which would be ideal for a summer picnic in the city.

Dine at a Classic British Restaurant

You’ll have no trouble finding somewhere to eat near the Hatton Garden Hotel. The Argyle is located very close to our hotel, and we love dining outside in the summer months on the terrace. For a traditional British meal, check out the Bleeding Heart Bistro for lunch or dinner. Barbican and Farringdon have many great local and chain restaurants to choose from, so you certainly won’t be left hungry around here.
